A Nerdist/NASA mashup tee!
I’m adding it to the collection of other Nerdist shirt ideas that I’ve created, in the hopes that they will eventually allow me to produce a shirt design/s for them (I think the guys are just waiting on Chris to make the decision). If not, I’ll probably just submit it as hostful art, but we’ll see! Enjoy (your burrito)!

That moment when you make a new blend only to find out it’s out of stock. (Also I wish there were better indicators of which teas are available on the make your blend page). Anyway, if you can get it, Nerdist Tea!

I’m really pleased with how this came out. Normally I take horrible pictures.
So to recap:
I got to the venue a little early so I walked around the corner and found an NYPD officer on a Horse. So I got to pet the Horse, he nudged me, and started munching on my coat, my sweater, and my scarf.
Got to shake Joel Hodgson’s hand. That man is one of my childhood idols (along with Chris, of course).
Got to converse briefly with Matt and Jonah.
The Twitter wall was awesome.
Oh and saw the teacher from Victorious walking down the street with some guy as we were waiting to get into the theater.

I just noticed that the photo I posted earlier is totally being photobombed by Nerdist posters. It only seems right to talk about them a little. They were designed by my friend Barry Blankenship for Chris’ show at the Showbox Theatre in Seattle last year, as part of his Chaotic Good tour. Now the poster is on the set of the Nerdist TV show on the wall behind Mike Phirman:I’m pretty sure that the Nerdist posters are out of print now, but you should still go check out the rest of Barry’s stuff (especially if you’re a comedy nerd— he does a lot of posters for different comedians) and send him some love by following him on Facebook and Twitter.

Neil deGrasse Tyson THE NERDIST: Sneak Peek Aug 4 BBC America

A lot of folks asked us, of all the astrophysicists in the world, why wasn’t Neil deGrasse Tyson scheduled to be in The Science of Doctor Who Special this weekend?

That’s because HE’S IN THE NERDIST TRIBUTE TO SCIENCE premiering the same night, just after ‘The Science of Doctor Who’!!!

Get an exclusive sneak peek at BBC America’s All New Special THE NERDIST: TRIBUTE TO SCIENCE before the World Premiere *** Saturday Aug 4 at 10/9c ***  and discover the long-rumored but never-before-confirmed connection between Thomas Edison… and Jay-Z?!

Here, Chris Hardwick sits down with celebrated astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and poses the question, “Are we still discovering shocking things?”

btw, also in the episode: Danica McKellar (mathematician, also ‘Winnie’ from The Wonder Years), Cara Santa Maria (Huffington Post’s “Talk Nerdy to Me”) and Bill Nye (The Science Guy.)

‘The Science of Doctor Who’ premieres Aug. 4 at 9/8c on BBC America followed immediately by ‘The Nerdist Tribute to Science’ at 10/9c
